The Xbox One is slated to receive it’s first major dashboard update this March. This was previously a mention with the still unconfirmed Halo 2 Anniversary rumor, but it has now been verified by The Verge . To confirm even more of the rumors heard earlier, a white Xbox One will be released later this year. The dashboard update will contain fixes and improvements for social features of the console, such as party chat.

Microsoft has also been playing around with the idea of launching a console without a disk drive for a reduced price, presumably $399. We’ll be clearing up more and more of these rumors as we hear about them, so keep it posted.
