Nintendo has announced that Smash Bros for the Nintendo 3DS will launch this October 3, while the Wii U version will launch sometime in the holiday season of the year. They have also announced that they will be selling a Smash Bros themed Gamecube controller for $29.99, as well as an adapter to allow the controller to connect to the Wii U for $19.99.

They will also sell a bundle that combines the game along with the controller and adapter for $99.99.

They also unveiled new fighters for the game. You will be able to use your Mii characters to join the fight. There are three different types of Mii’s you can choose from, Brawlers, Sword Fighters, and Gunners. Brawlers are close combat and use fists to fight, Sword Fighters use swords(obviously), and Gunners use a variety of gun weaponry.

Closing off the Digital Event, they announced that Palutena from the Kid Icarus series will make her Smash debut, bringing with her an assortment of moves.
