MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has now been released for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The game gives a lot of nostalgia to fans of the old Disney cartoon shorts that were black and white, featuring the rubber hose visuals.
While the game looks very similar to iconic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, this game has nothing to do with the company.
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is developed by Fumi Games, an indie developer that started this game as a tech demo. It then went viral in 2023, and they turned it into a full-fledged title that has a story. The game is also published by PlaySide Studios.
To answer the question that some might be wondering, no, Disney does not have any involvement with this one-of-a-kind first-person shooter.
